@JavelinFella @LiseSantolini We should also ban the Australian flag and anthem. Just to cite but one instance when Australia unlawfully invaded another country: Iraq (2003). Australia was one of the primary coalition members that took part in the US-led invasion of Iraq (Operation Falconer).

@LiseSantolini Why should the rashists be honored for their flag? The same country that invaded and annexed a fellow nation, while killing and kidnapping their children? Please...

To Roland‑Garros – you respect tradition for others. Not for her. You congratulated Mirra Andreeva. Fine. But you forgot her anthem. You sent security to remove her flags from the stands. Because for other champions, you did play the anthem. Without hesitation. · Rafael Nadal (2022): his 14th title at Roland‑Garros ended with the Spanish anthem. · Carlos Alcaraz (2024): the Spanish anthem echoed again on centre court. · Novak Djokovic (2021): the Serbian anthem was played after his victory. · Iga Świątek (2024): the Polish anthem accompanied the trophy ceremony. But for Mirra Andreeva, 19 years old, victorious, Siberian, Russian by birth, Russian by nationality, Russian at heart – nothing. No anthem. No flag. A champion humiliated. So yes, you respected tradition for others. You played the Spanish, Serbian, Polish anthems without a second thought. For a young Russian woman, suddenly, tradition goes silent. Politics replaced sport. Cowardice replaced honour. You did not deserve Mirra’s laurels. You do not deserve them. That victory is hers, and it will stay Russian – whether you like it or not.

Meanwhile at Tribune Concorde, our champion Mirra Andreeva has arrived 🏆 #RolandGarros

@extremely_logic @IuliiaMendel There's something you will unfortunately come to understand in due time. I say unfortunately, because if the fight goes on, which is the direction things are taking and as you advocate, there won't be a viable Ukrainian state left.

@IuliiaMendel I think you TRY document with good intention. BUT contrary to what you think, that’s SO HARMFUL! You’re a perpetually DEFEATIST! The WAR has arrived to you: either you FIGHT or SURRENDER. We know YOU took your way, BUT those fighting need ENCOURAGEMENT. Respect them at least…!!

As I understand it, after Budanov's visit to Warsaw, the elite military unit will be renamed "The Heroes of the UPA Who Didn't Kill Polish Women and Children." Were there any, by the way?🤔

@HavryshkoMarta A KIIS poll found 61% of Ukrainians back a ceasefire along the current front line if European troops deploy near the front and fight in case of renewed Russian attack. Without security guarantees, 61% reject the deal.

This article has been fact-checked. It contains multiple documented errors, including asserting "deeply embedded" neo-Nazi networks without evidence and zero mention of russian neo-Nazi units like Rusich. Recycling flawed analysis to stop Polish donations to Ukraine's defense is not scholarship. It's sabotage.

Dear 🇵🇱friends who still donate to Ukraine’s "elite" nationalist military units, including Azov-linked brigades: be aware of whom you are actually supporting. Your money is going to the extremists who openly glorify the Nazi murderers of Poles and celebrate figures responsible for some of the darkest chapters in Polish history. Read carefully, look beyond the slogans, and judge for yourselves. Thank you🤗 Link to the article in the comment.

@HavryshkoMarta Here's a hot take: If Ruzzia never meddled in Ukraine, NONE of those groups would exist. There would be no Right Sector, no Maidan militia and no Azov. Further: If Ruzzia never invaded, there'd be no war. Isn't it interesting how that works?

The ideology of the OUN is increasingly taking root within Ukraine’s armed forces. These photos were taken during an award ceremony in the 60th Brigade of the AFU, a unit that is part of the Third Army Corps commanded by Andriy Biletsky, the founder of the Azov movement. On the wall hangs the Decalogue of the Ukrainian Nationalist—a set of ten commandments that served as a moral and ideological code for the nationalist underground. Its purpose was to cultivate unwavering zealots prepared to eliminate anyone defined as an "enemy of the Ukrainian nation". The historical record shows where such doctrines can lead: to the dehumanization of entire categories of people and the justification of violence against civilians. In this worldview, the “enemy” could be a Polish child in a cradle, a Jewish woman fleeing a ghetto, or a schoolteacher from Donetsk who happened to settle in a Galician village. The public display of these principles within a military formation raises troubling questions about the ideological currents being normalized in today’s Ukraine.

In Ukraine, there are two camps. One stands for peace, the other for war. And it’s time we spoke about this openly. I believe the latter are fewer in number, yet far louder than anyone else. Of course — behind them stand enormous funds for propaganda and a license for impunity. They have thousands of talking heads, useful idiots, and people paralyzed by despair. They are ready to intimidate, harass, unleash bots, turn half the nation into “enemies of the people,” lecture and moralize, and teach you that your sons must die for the state. They insist that if you want the war to end, there’s something wrong with you — you’re naïve, stupid, or even insane. They claim there is no corruption, that all Ukrainians must remain poor, and that the conscription officers — which hunt men like animals and are notorious for torture and human rights abuses — are mere “Russian propaganda.” They say peace is impossible solely because of Putin, that the best hero is a dead hero, and that everyone shown on television is telling the truth. And then there’s the eternal message: “Just endure a little longer.” A few more months and we’ll win. Another six months and Russia will run out of resources. One more year and the war will be over. Every autocracy has had its propaganda. And every one operated on the same principle: silence, destroy, and hound the critics — while filling the media with the “right” people and the “right” messages. This summer, the last attempt this year to end the war will be made. It will be presented as American pressure, a betrayal of the Ukrainian people, especially Zelenskyy, or collaboration with Russia. They notice only the negative, and only when it’s time to shift blame onto someone else. As you may have noticed, according to Zelenskyy, everyone is guilty. Biden is guilty for talking about war and sowing panic. The West is guilty for not giving weapons on time. Trump is guilty for negotiating with Putin and trying to bring everyone to the table. Ukrainian men are guilty for not wanting to go to the front. Refugees are guilty for leaving and thus not being patriots. Critics are guilty because Ukraine is losing because of them. Deputy ministers, ministers, and long-time partners are guilty as they were caught in corruption. The only ones who are never guilty… are two specific people. I won’t name them. So this time, once again, everyone will be blamed. Zelenskyy will face a choice: either drag the war out further, or once again play the role of the unfortunate victim who, under pressure, is forced to do the unforgivable. We are offered various options to end the war, but our leadership rejects them all. The price of continuing the war is always the same — more rivers of Ukrainian blood, another horrific winter without electricity or heating, and hundreds of thousands more refugees. If this summer there is no peace agreement — any agreement at all — even a shaky ceasefire or a halt to large-scale shelling, the war will drag on at least until March. Because the United States, the only viable mediator and influential player, will be preoccupied with mid-term elections, then winter holidays, and then there will be the fifth anniversary of the war… Once again, we will be told to “endure a little longer,” and once again we will be fed stories about how Russia is about to collapse any day now. The people writing these messages are not stupid. They simply believe that we — all of us — are.

Ukrainians and Russians are enemies! That is what Western and Zelensky’s propaganda keeps trying to convince the world of. But ordinary people continue to show a different reality. Max Korzh’s concert in Turkey demonstrated something I have been saying for years, despite the fact that many disagree with me. First, we are one people. Not merely brotherly nations. We are people of one civilization, one history, one culture, and one shared soul. Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and other closely related peoples. Second, this concert once again showed that all the claims that reconciliation between our peoples will take decades are simply nonsense. I will say it for the thousandth time: as soon as the fighting stops, as soon as Ukraine has a normal government and an honest explanation of the events that have taken place begins, people will immediately start returning to normal human relations. We will once again visit one another, hold joint sporting events, cultural programs, forums, and festivals. And, of course, religious processions that unite our peoples will once again become possible. A procession from Kyiv to Moscow, from Moscow to Minsk, and from Minsk to Kyiv — as a symbol of peace, our shared faith, and a return to normal life. There is nothing stronger than family ties, shared roots, and common historical memory. There is nothing that restores relationships faster than the bonds between people who were artificially turned into enemies. Events like this are yet another confirmation of that truth. As an athlete, a coach, and the father of a child who already competes in tournaments, I can say this with complete confidence. Today we participate in international competitions and compete against athletes from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and other countries. We communicate, we make friends, we embrace after matches, and we understand each other perfectly. And everywhere people talk about the same thing — peace. About the day when we will be able to live peacefully in our own countries, raise our children, develop sports and culture, and freely visit one another without fear or hatred. I am convinced that this day will come.
