Last week, IOM Ghana hosted @UNHCRWestAfrica Director -@GnonKond. The meeting was to discuss key displacement and protection priorities in Ghana and the region, explore opportunities for stronger collaboration, and meet with the @UNinGhana Country Team.

The Refugee Economic Summit 2025 was organized in Accra to promote inclusive economic opportunities for refugees under the theme: “Leveraging Community as a Superpower to Build Sustainable livelihood opportunities for refugee youth”.

@Refugees commends Ghana 🇬🇭 for granting indefinite residence permits to 526 former Ivorian refugees as part of efforts in finding durable solutions to forcibly displaced people. The recipients had opted to stay in the country when their refugee status ended on 30 June 2022.

This is why I am resolved that during my tenure as Foreign Minister, there will be no single-sourced contract, every single contract will be competitive, transparent and must have a value-for-money report. There shall be zero tolerance for inflated projects and sweetheart deals. Let’s make Ghana work for all Ghanaians. God bless our motherland.
