The latest horrifying example of what Israel does with American bombs: kill Palestinian civilians indiscriminately. We need a firm commitment from @KamalaHQ to change course on the current Gaza policy and to not send another bomb to Israel until it agrees to a ceasefire.

@susangbarber The importance of actually teaching kids about book banning. In my elementary classroom we’ve discussed “power,” and consider the notion of “knowledge is power” within this discourse. I like to ask after a banned read: why do you think some people don’t want you to read this?

I’m on an upcoming panel about book bannning and how we can move forward with literacy instruction and reading in general in today’s society. What would you add to this conversation?

Follow up - also need to find who wrote me from Skipper Dipper! I’ve taken a couple of guesses but my handwriting eye has gone downhill since late June.
