like Gigabeef said, people were right to be up in arms about earbuds and they changed that within 24-48hrs The cold mask, sure, but it’s not like they didn’t offer players other ways to get rid of the cold effect. Limited time event too, so players who didn’t grind for it didn’t really lose anything tangible, and those who did grind got rewarded with an item. We can quibble with whats “pay to win” and you can choose not to play the game, but acting like it’s a grave injustice that there’s a handguard that has +1 point of ergo and less than half a percent of recoil reduction over the other meta handguard is a bit over the top. You of all players should know how little those stat deltas matter.

Nothing with gameplay effect should be locked behind another game (especially one that is behind a paywall and no, eod / unheard doesn’t mean free). They’ve done this with many thing before in the past including guns and the cold weather facemask on an event drop. This stuff should be accessible in the main game
