Last Friday on our girls brunch, a friend was crying that her husband is likely gay or cheating because lately he is not in the mood for intimacy & he complains of headaches in the evening. While most suggested lingerie and cooking, I gave an obvious suggestion: Give him a massage after work.
She said "I am also working so I am too tired at night to massage him"
I didn't bother pushing the topic any further. But massage can be a love language. It is an art of care. If you want to help your partner relieve tension headaches do this:
1. Slightly warm your oil
2. Gently spread the oil on his neck and shoulders.
3. Use the tips of your fingers, to gently but firmly massage him.
4. Start with short strokes as your fingers explore his neck and shoulders to find the muscle knots or tension. Move from behind the ear, towards the shoulders.
5. Use circular motions to boost circulation and unlock the tension.
6. Finish with long strokes towards the end of the shoulders.
Make this moment as calm as possible.
Do not do this massage if the man has drunk alcohol in the last two hours.
Do not use too much pressure on the sides of the neck.
Showing love to your partner is simple.
