Special forces from KORD stormed the store where the suspect was holding hostages. He reportedly opened fire at the police during the operation. Negotiators had attempted to establish contact with him beforehand.
The number of casualties is still being clarified, with both dead and wounded reported.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported four strikes on oil-related facilities in Russia.
Targets included the Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran oil refineries in the Samara Oblast, the RPK Vysotsk Lukoil-2 terminal in the Leningrad Oblast, and the Tikhoretsk pumping station in Krasnodar Krai.
