It is about connecting @hedera to a broader pool of crosschain dollar liquidity in a way that is designed to feel native rather than stitched together. According to Hedera, USDT0 is live on Hedera. The key point is that it is presented as the omnichain deployment of @tether’s USDT, bringing stablecoin liquidity to the network without wrapped tokens, synthetic assets, or third-party bridges. That matters, because fragmentation has always been one of the biggest problems in onchain liquidity. What makes this more interesting is the structure behind it. Hedera says USDT0 is built on @LayerZero_Core’s OFT standard, which is designed to allow unified token logic across supported chains. In simple terms, that means moving dollar liquidity across ecosystems can become more seamless, with less friction than the old bridge-heavy model. For Hedera itself, this is strategically important.
