Last week, our Kings County union siblings attended a World Elder Abuse Awareness Month community event, where they discussed ways to protect older adults and support caregivers to build safer, stronger communities for those they care for. #ElderAbuseAwarenessMonth 💜

Corporations spend $1.5 billion every year trying to stop workers from unionizing. They’re not spending on better wages, better care, but on silencing the people doing the work. 🎉Victory in Del Norte! The county’s 400 IHSS providers have officially won raises totaling $1.75 an hour over the next three years, bringing wages above $20 an hour by 2028. Bargaining team member Barbara Moran shared the news on ABC 7 after county officials approved the new contract. Congratulations to our Del Norte providers: when we fight, we win!

Just recently, nursing home members from SEIU 2015 took our fight directly to legislators, demanding action to reinstate the Workforce and Quality Incentive Program (WQIP).
