@RealSpitfire Parents shouldn’t be charged for their kids crimes, the kids should just be charged and held accountable with stricter penalties

@InsiderGamingIG Maybe they should wait to hike up the price for when they have games

@GoodGameKofi For me, anyone who hasn't beaten Hollow Knight or Silksong is automatically dismissed.
English

@GoodGameKofi While I like the idea of showing who actually games, I already dislike what trophies do to my enjoyment
English

@Chris_Dring Mostly I think people are tired of being lied to
English

@TechnoMinstrel You posted an AI summary of a video discussing Steam user reviews, I simply have no words

@baileymeyers If you know capitalism, you should understand why industry would back their own
Who do you think is 12? The one who says things are influenced by money, or the one who believes in the virtue of the industry?

@SequoiaJacarana @ethan1923 They are always bought at this point
English

@ethan1923 Do you have any evidence of the reviews being bought?

@RichardHanania Lumping billionaires in one category and then declaring their worth… hmm

@SmashJT You do realize that people were different ages and some of them used cassette tapes in the 90s, right?
English

CDs surpassed cassettes by 1991.
Yes, I remember the 90’s
It wasn’t Cassette tapes.
…Those were the 80’s.
Also YOU SPIN THE PENCIL THE WRONG WAY IN THE “GAME” TO FIX IT!?! WTAF.
IGN? 10/10!

@FireMage777 @TemplarsRoar And just the idea that you can keep people from enjoying a hobby because of their political beliefs (or other beliefs) is pretty bad too
English

@TechnoMinstrel @TemplarsRoar Gatekeeping is absolutely okay. You don't want the wrong people infecting the things you like and making them worse
English

Exactly. These people aren’t gamers. This statement so perfectly encapsulates the issue. You have a divide, between gamers and obnoxious, pretentious and delusional narcissists that believe a $20 10FPS slideshow is a game. It’s not.
Guys, it’s okay to gatekeep your hobby from these ridiculous people and set a standard.
If a game doesn’t have a condition for you to lose at all, it’s not really a game.
samwise@kojimahead
the fail state for me is how the scene doesn't hit or simply isn't cool if I fuck it up, the fact I didn't encounter any "fail states" on my run of this during my playthrough was what made it such a highlight. gamers in 2026 simply hate whimsy and that's fine but just say so.
English

@FireMage777 @TemplarsRoar I totally get why you feel it’s okay, and I even understand it. But if the ideas need external reinforcement, and they don’t really stand on their own, and they don’t improve- they stagnate.
Apologies for the unhinged behavior directed toward you from that other poster btw

@HAmorata For real, if IGN endorses it, I avoid it
Simple as that

Funny thing is I'm not mad.
I'm not even surprised.
I'm just kind of tired of people acting like the scores from Games Journalists matter except for as a reverse indicator of how people are going to feel about these games 7/10 times.
This is a game that was made to please a very specific type of gamer. A fringe group.
And it appears to have succeeded in that.
The issue comes when people parade that around like it's supposed to matter to the rest of us.
No amount of 10/10 scores are going to make me interested in this game.
If I want a 90's nostalgia hit, I'll go pull my year books.
MoiDawg@MoiDawg
If you're mad at this score you're outing yourself as never having hobbies, never having a friend group, never having a relationship and never being able to just stare at the ceiling with a buddy talking about life.
