You never know who is watching. To paraphrase one of our scholarship presenters in a conversation, “The person we chose won this award last year when I saw them in Cracker Barrel”. Evidently the interaction or what they witnessed stuck with them and made that candidate stand out.

No need for a shot clock in high school High School sports aren’t supposed to “prepare players for the next level” It’s simply competition between schools!! No clock is the way the game is to be played at that level at least in Indiana I applaud the decision

@JMBpreps Usually the arguments against are from Admins and AD's...costs and having somebody reliable to run it.

@CoachMoHawks I mean don't care about the team that holds the ball for a quarter. They go viral but they lose like 90% of the time. I do care that, in a state playoff game, a 5-point lead with a minute left feels insurmountable than it should. Every team does late, as they should.

✍🏻 I don't want to see a team taking the air out of the ball for the last two minutes of the game, or any other quarter. I don't want to see a team have to gamble or foul just to have a shot. I don't want to see late-game strategy be dumbed down to keepaway. I want to see if a team that's up by 2-5 points can do something more than play "four corners." I want to see if a team can get a stop or if they give up a backbreaking offensive rebound. I want to see the team that's trailing execute the late-game two-for-one strategy. I want to see if the team that's up can do something more than weave for 50 seconds. I want to see them scramble back on defense if their designed play doesn't work.

@JMBpreps I do think most coaches do want it. I was on the @The_NCBCA board a few years ago that voted to send a proposal to the @NCHSAA board to start the process. I was the only one on the board that voted against it.

@RyanBisesi No way the current NIL will last. The money can’t be sustained. Especially smaller schools. We will start seeing some programs and teams dropped. And small D1s may have to go D2 or D3
