Marvel’s biggest fumble was not capitalizing on Scarlet Witch right after her popularity exploded. 4 years since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Wanda was arguably the MCU’s most talked about character after WandaVision. Audiences literally cheered when she first appeared in the garden scene. The movie made nearly a billion dollars, the character was massively popular, and Elizabeth Olsen became one of Marvel’s best casting choices ever. And then nothing. 4 years without a single appearance and not even officially announced for Doomsday. Feels like Marvel completely wasted the momentum.

Kane Parsons tells us that found-footage sequences in ‘BACKROOMS’ includes some parts entirely done in Blender like the YouTube series. “We're blending that with normal VFX work but there’s some sections that are entirely Blender - my normal pipeline - feeding in.”

Causally bomb drops Horror Story for a future project

Kane Parsons’ #Backrooms is wild stuff. A wholly unique and original horror film that freaks you out and creeps you out while luring you deeper into its eerie, liminal nightmare. The kind of movie that gets under your skin and stays there. For a film full of empty rooms and long hallways, I love how captivating it is from start to finish. It never gives you all the answers, and that lingering mystery makes it even more unsettling. I left the film and immediately wanted to talk more, read more and watch more about it. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve are fantastic anchors in something that is super odd and mysterious, but also very entertaining. Would definitely recommend.
