In a joint statement supported by the French players’ union @UNFP, captains from across the top two divisions in French women’s football are calling for a collective bargaining agreement to be signed before the start of next season. After more than three years of negotiations, players say the lack of a formal framework continues to leave them exposed. They highlight multiple examples in recent years and point to a widening gap with the men’s game. “We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for a fair framework.” #FIFPRO stands alongside @UNFP and the players in calling for guaranteed employment rights for professional footballers.

El sindicato de futbolistas de Uruguay, @Mutual_Uru, ha firmado un acuerdo para recibir el 5% del nuevo contrato televisivo del fútbol uruguayo en concepto de derechos de imagen. Ese porcentaje se traduce en 2.5 millones de dólares al año hasta 2029. Los fondos se repartirán entre todo el sector, destinándose a pagos anuales a los jugadores, un nuevo fondo de retiro y el acceso a programas de salud y educación. Uruguay’s player union @Mutual_Uru has signed an agreement to receive 5% of the new Uruguayan football TV contract for image rights. In financial terms, that percentage translates into $2.5 million per year until 2029. The funds will be shared across the game, supporting annual player payments, a new retirement fund, and access to health and education programmes.
