Every day is Earth Day, but today we made it count. 🌎✨ The Khalsa Aid GTA team was at Manitou Park to give back to the land that sustains us. From young hands to veteran volunteers, seeing a dedicated wave of support result in 300 lbs of trash collected this is what happens when a community decides to nurture nature. The Winnipeg Chapter of Khalsa Aid Canada is proudly organizing our Annual Food Drive in collaboration with all Winnipeg Guru Ghars, in honour of Sikh Heritage Month. This initiative reflects the true spirit of Seva and our shared responsibility to support those in need within our community. Food Drive Dates: March 15th – April 30th Donation Bins: Located at all Winnipeg Gurdwaras We humbly encourage Sangat and community members to contribute generously by donating the top items listed on the poster, including baby formula, canned foods, rice, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, and other non-perishable food items. All donations will help support local organizations and families facing food insecurity. Team Nanaimo spent the evening serving a comforting pizza dinner at St. Peter’s Shelter. Sharing a warm meal and a few gentle conversations reminded us how much connection matters, especially for our unhoused neighbours who carry so much on their shoulders. A heartfelt thank‑you to Local Pizza Terminal for your ongoing support. Your kindness helps us show up with care, consistency, and respect for those who need it most.

As part of the biweekly OCH, Ottawa team bought and dropped off on 12th March 2026 - Toothpaste, toilet paper, fruits, vegetables, peanut butter, milk, pasta, pasta sauce, for 30 people of an OCH community housing.

On March 8th, 2026, Ottawa team continued their bi-weekly Downtown Sewa. Team prepared 140 food packets containing muffins, juice boxes, energy bars, fruits, samosas, and chips, and distributed them to unhoused community members in downtown Ottawa and outside local shelters. Coffee and water were also served. 🙏

Khalsa Aid #Reginateam continued their seva by giving groceries to international students. We served close to 50 students, thanks to our dedicated volunteers for their commitment in making this event a success. #khalsaaid #bekind #ka26

The Vancouver team carried out our monthly seva, providing food packages to members of the unhoused community. Our volunteers prepared 200 packages over 2 months containing muffins, bananas, energy bars, water, and other essentials. With the rising cost of living, many individuals and families are facing increased hardship. We’re grateful for the ongoing support of our dedicated Khalsa Aid volunteers who make this seva possible every month.

Team Edmonton continued monthly grocery distribution for the month of February. 30 students collected produce, atta, rice, Dahl, oil, sugar, milk and tea.

As part of our biweekly support initiative with Ottawa Community Housing (OCH), on February 26, 2026, Ottawa team purchased and delivered essential supplies for 50 residents within the community. The items included toothpaste, toilet paper, fresh fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, milk, pasta, and pasta sauce.

#TeamVictoria served and delivered 120 pizzas to New Roads Recovery Centre and Our Place Society 🍕 Across both locations over 450 people were served. Huge thank you to all the volunteers who contributed to this month’s Langar seva your time and effort truly make this possible every single time. It was a beautiful afternoon of seva in Calgary Alberta! 150 meals were served to the city’s most vulnerable population. As we continue this seva, month after month, the city of Calgary is demonstrating recognition of Khalsa Aid, when the community sees the blue vest, we are welcomed warmly.

As part of the biweekly OCH drop off, on 29th January, 2026, Ottawa team bought Toothpaste, toilet paper, fruits, vegetables, pasta, Pata sauce, canned vegetables, jam, peanut butter, for 30 seniors of an OCH community housing.

On Sunday, Jan 25th, team #Victoria provided a pizza meal to those at OurPlace and the New Roads residential treatment facility. About 150 were fed. Thanks to @localpizzavictoria for providing the pizzas to our team.

Date: 25th January 2026 Our #Ottawa team continued our bi-weekly Downtown Sewa despite the extremely cold weather. We prepared and distributed 120 food packets containing muffins, juice boxes, energy bars, fruits, croissants, and chips to unhoused community members in downtown Ottawa and outside local shelters. Coffee was also served.
