It's a dull end to Tuesday, with further outbreaks of rain pushing across the country, turning locally heavy at times ☔ Breezy but remaining mild 🌡️

No need to worry about a frost tonight 🌡️ Temperatures are going to be much milder overnight compared to this morning with most places in the double digits ⤵️

Violent Typhoon #Sinlaku has recently made a direct hit on the Mariana Islands of Saipan and Tinian, with a gust of 130mph observed before the eye made landfall 👇

It's a dull and damp picture in the west this afternoon with outbreaks of rain ☔ Turning downhill for eastern areas as the cloud and rain pushes in later 🌧️ Breezy but feeling pleasant in any sunshine initially ⛅

A cold start for some on Tuesday with the risk of a frost in places🌡️ Holding onto some sunshine in the north and east after any isolated fog patches clear and soon warming up🌤️ Increasingly damp and rather windy further west with rain at times and turning murky in places🌧️

Scattered heavy showers continuing into the first part of this evening with a few thundery downpours possible 🌦️ Many places will however remain dry with some late sunshine, though turning cool quite quickly after dark as skies clear 🌘

It's been a changeable day. Harmless looking clouds one moment, then all of a sudden, dark and angry looking skies🌤️➡️⛈️ This is typical of April. Clouds bubble up as it gets warmer and is where the proverb "April showers" comes from 🌦️ Have you been caught in a downpour?

We're in peak tree pollen season with birch and ash pollen particularly prevalent at the moment 🤧🌳 The highest pollen counts will be across England through the coming days, especially during any sunnier and warmer periods 🌤️

The cloud is now bubbling up with April showers breaking out 🌦️ Recent radar and satellite imagery show these currently focussed across southern England, Wales and parts of Scotland. Isolated cracks of thunder and hail are possible as they drift north-eastwards ⛈️
