One of the biggest misconceptions about Noah’s Ark is that people imagine millions of animals crammed onto a boat. But Genesis speaks of animal "kinds," not every modern species alive today. Many Ark researchers estimate Noah would have only needed around 1,500 kinds, roughly 7,000 animals total. On top of that, marine life wasn't on the Ark, and neither were insects. Many researchers believe the animals were probably juveniles rather than fully grown adults. And when you compare those numbers to the size of the Ark, a ship over 500 feet long, the whole thing starts looking a lot more manageable than people assume.
