Cannot express how much I adore that they kept this from the book. As someone who managed a toy store for five years and worked with kids regularly yes it is 100% accurate and realistic that he would use non-cuss words even with no kids around.

I’m begging you to keep your mind sharp. Do puzzles, learn crafts, study history & languages, commit your favorite poems to memory. Infinite scrolling and AI are wrecking brains both young and old. If you don’t love learning, you’re not going to make it.

The WSJ just ran the most depressing headline in human history. The piece is a first-person column from two retirees. They say that without bosses, deadlines, or meetings, there's nothing to interrupt zombie doomscrolling. "We have time on our hands and no external authority telling us to snap out of it."
