There is no path to victory for the United States, and no "spin" from Washington will be able to change this reality.
The ending of this tragedy has already been written, and two things are now inevitable:
The United States has lost the War in Iran, and will need to make significant monetary concessions to the tune of tens of billions of dollars or more.
And
Doing so is the correct decision at this point.
@upinmontana@BrettErickson28 True. But if we destroy everything, the people who have cried out for freedom will have nothing. But the IRGC is a death cult so we really do just have to take them all out.
@NiohBerg The Iranian people don’t want a deal!! They want the regime GONE! That’s never been a mystery. The people are not armed so how do you suppose they take over?
It really does seem like Trump threw the Iranian people under the bus so that he could force countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to normalise with Israel.
Was this war ever about Iran, or was it always with the goal to strengthen the Israelis at the expense of Iranians?
I dislike asking these questions, but they need to be asked sadly.
@KR3Wmatic@SkEyeDaddie We’ve just stopped looking for Him as we have come to believe we don’t need Him. It’s foolishness really. Death still comes to all of us. Tragedy and trouble too. Eternity is still written in our hearts but we’ve pretty much elevated ourselves.
During the less educated, unscientific eras, it seemed as though God was a constant presence, issuing directives, parting the clouds with messages, and guiding the faithful with an unmistakable hand. Prophets and seers emerged as conduits of divine will, their words a balm for the restless souls of a world steeped in superstition and uncertainty. In those times, when the mysteries of existence remained largely unsolved, faith flourished as a comforting companion, a compass in the fog of life’s uncertainties.
Yet, as humanity embarked on its journey through the corridors of knowledge, science, and technology, a peculiar silence descended upon the divine. The once resounding proclamations from the heavens grew faint, overshadowed by the clamor of reason and empirical evidence. The questions that once beckoned for divine intervention now found answers in the pages of textbooks and the rigor of scientific inquiry. The gods of old, once so present, seemed to have taken a backseat, retreating into the ether as humanity grasped the reins of understanding.
Isn't it astonishing? One might ponder how God, who thrived amidst the ignorance of humanity, seemingly vanished in the face of enlightenment. Was it that the divine preferred the simplicity of uncritical belief over the complexities of educated skepticism? Or could it be that as we illuminated the dark corners of our existence with knowledge, the shadows in which God thrived began to dissipate?
The irony is stark: the very advancements that have propelled humanity into an age of enlightenment appear to have exiled the divine into an abstract realm of philosophical debate. In an era dominated by scientific discovery, where every question finds a methodical answer, the need for divine directive seems to wane. The mysteries of life that once beckoned for the intervention of a higher power are now viewed through the lens of biology, physics, and chemistry.
The intricate dance of the cosmos, once attributed to divine orchestration, is now understood as the result of natural laws and processes that govern our universe. Yet, beneath the surface of this intellectual triumph lies a haunting question: has the pursuit of knowledge rendered us spiritually barren? In our quest to conquer the unknown, have we inadvertently severed the ties that once connected us to the divine?
The paradox remains: in our fervent desire to understand the world, we may have inadvertently become estranged from the very essence of faith that once guided our ancestors. As we navigate this uncharted territory of intellect and inquiry, it is essential to reflect on the implications of a God who thrived amidst ignorance but receded in the face of enlightenment.
@joekent16jan19 The only acceptable result is the annihilation of the IRGC, regime change (according to to people’s choice which has already spoken of) and freedom for the Iranian people. That is the best result for pretty much everyone.
@joekent16jan19 The mistake here is thinking you can make a deal with radical Islamists. They only understand fear and domination. That’s how they’ve always operated.
I certainly hope that President Trump can seal this deal, it would be historic.
That said, it will be nearly impossible for many of the countries to make a peace deal with Israel because of Gaza. It will also be nearly impossible for Israel to accept an end to the war w/ the current Iranian gov in power.
We don’t need a deal to just leave, playing referee in these disputes has gotten us nothing but death & debt.
Pull our troops out, negotiate pragmatic deals individually with Middle East nations, including Iran, as needed.
The American people don’t benefit from the empire we are trying to preserve.
@gordong156@CasaChichi@joekent16jan19 It’s only been just shy of three months. How anyone is comparing this to Vietnam or WW2 is beyond me. And Israel just got the green light FROM TRUMP to resume! They are working TOGETHER!
@CasaChichi@joekent16jan19 This may become a very popular view if the perception that Israel wags the dog continues to grow, with POTUS visibly powerless to fulfil his campaign promise to end forever wars.
@CAGenXer@joekent16jan19 Why should Hamas be destroyed?
I support the entire AoR and despise occupiers. I have infinitely more respect for the men of the AoR than anyone else to be honest!
@joekent16jan19 I don't care what it takes, I want israel dismantled and all of Palestine liberated.
That's it. No more debate. The terror colony must go.
@allenanalysis Yep and that will give control of our House an senate to the far left, commies and Islamist sympathizers. Sounds like a really good plan…🤦♀️we could at least try to be unified through the midterms.
Thomas Massie has officially filed a statement of candidacy, allowing him to begin raising money for a potential 2028 presidential run.
That instantly changes the meaning behind a lot of what’s happening right now.
Because Massie is no longer just fighting Trump politically.
He’s positioning himself as a possible post-Trump alternative for the faction of the right that:
- distrusts foreign intervention
- hates establishment Republicans
- opposes surveillance expansion
- views the GOP as drifting too far into loyalty politics
- Epstein-class protectors
- and fighting foreign wars
The Republican civil war is getting more real by the week.
@Leah742 There are nuts in every box. Even in the one you are in, whatever that may be. Take heart not everyone is alike simply because they’re in a particular box.
I prefer the ignorance I had before coming on this platform. This site is full of paid maga who hate their fellow Americans and lie like I've never seen before. Before coming here, I had no idea how despicable and demoralizing maga people were. Now, I find myself stooping to low levels, trying to defend our constitution, laws, healthcare, and the incessant lies about everything. These people live in an alternate reality.
@CombatJoe1010 Yeah well don’t compare us to actual Masonic cults and such. That’s pretty over the top don’t you think? Jesus Christ, Son of God, son of man. The Lamb of God slain from the foundations of the world, resurrected on the third day and coming again. Do we need to argue?
Sola Scriptura is NO WHERE in any Bible ever.
It’s 16th century man-made lie, which is no different than the 19th century lies of Mormonism and Jehovahs Witnesses.
@William_Gouge_X@MikeWingerii The head covering for women was a “sign” of being under their husband. Is the sign itself sacred? or is the divine order what is sacred?
@William_Gouge_X@MikeWingerii And I’m not at all a feminist. I’ve been in church for 48 years and never ever had anyone interpret that chapter to be speaking about a salvation issue. Notice that the Greek and Hebrew Christians had asked Paul about men covering their head. What was Paul’s conclusion?
@William_Gouge_X@MikeWingerii Culture existed. It existed in the days of Paul. Of course he didn’t mention it. They also didn’t allow women to learn the Scriptures. That was culture. So was men sitting on one side and women on the other. Shall we do that too? Jesus mentioned nothing about head coverings.
You’ve been lied to. Do 5 minutes of research. These feminist created narratives have been completely thoroughly debunked by historians some not even Christians)… what you’ve implied as the “unspoken and unwritten” reason is factually incorrect…but it doesn’t matter anyway. Paul never mentions culture. No command of God is cultural. His word is perfect, pure, and eternal… ETERNAL. Which is why the Christian church across every culture and continent obeyed their command universally across every denomination until the last 50 years since feminism crept into the church.
Paul roots the order to head over in male headship over the wife in multiple locations… it’s about authority, woman being the glory of man, her hair is her glory and she’s to cover it before God. That is what Paul clearly teaches in this passage. Not one single scholar in all of church history, for 1900 years disagrees, not one. Only modern feminists reject this.
It’s not a salvation issue… it sure is. 1 John 3:4-10, Heb10:26-28, Matt 7:26… and many other verses are crystal clear. To know the laws and commands of God and to “intentionally, knowingly, willingly” reject God’s command is willful sin and lawlessness. To continually and willfully occupy yourself in sin (ANY SIN) means you are a child of Satan… not a child of God. Don’t care if it’s alcohol, drugs, lgbt, cussing, fornication, porn… it doesn’t matter the sin… 1 Jn 3:4-10 and Heb 10:26 are crystal clear. You’re not a Christian if you live a life of continual willful disobedience to Gods word.
@APColemanIII@MikeWingerii And I’m not suggesting that leaders are NOT accountable. I’m just shocked at how people are so waking to one another and the one posting these videos doesn’t seem to care about that!
@YeshuasKat@Pmac92Pmac@MikeWingerii Mikes comment threads are full of “Christians” condemning one another. Even though all they know of the other is a five line comment. And it is vicious. And you have demonstrated it here. That biting and devouring is what I’m talking about and it is not the heart of God.
@YeshuasKat@Pmac92Pmac@MikeWingerii In case you haven’t noticed, mikes videos strike the leader and scatter the sheep. Do you not see that? Just in your heavy handed judgement and condemnation of me (“you are just like Korah”) you demonstrate that very thing. You came on in full attack mode.
I only want to expose the BAD guys in the movement.
But, me trying to do this is being interpreted as trying to destroy the entire movement.
This is one of the most disturbing things that has come out of this.
If removing the frauds destroys the movement what does that mean?
