Fwiw I think eth and btc will see new all time highs in the future. Dunno how long it will take but believe it will happen. Cannot say the same for any of the rest of this stuff though, think a lot of it can go down another -95%, valuations w locked stuff still insanely high.

Terra's multi-billion dollar algorithmic stablecoin UST blew up today. Aside from destroying the value of $LUNA, they used their bitcoin reserves to try to defend the peg, kind of like a flailing emerging market using its gold reserves to defend its FX.

The way it goes: • A crisis starts (eg. Covid-19 in March 2020) • The government prints money to stimulate continued economic growth • Inflation and the circulating amount of money increases • People get more money –> they now both invest and spend more money 1/6

It's easy to state that crypto-trading doesn't work. But at the same time, long-term investing in crypto can be dangerous. Imagine buying $JEWEL at the top. It's down 90% from ATH just 4 months ago. You need a 900% return to break even. In trading you have control at least.

Last night in discord, this guy is panicking trying to top up his Solana-based margin account. I see him post several times over about an hour. He's begging and slamming txns through on his wallet. Solana wouldn't process them at any fee. He got liquidated. Truly sad and not ok

#Bitcoin momentum clearly to the downside. Would love to be short-term bullish, but it's hard to be when we just keep moving lower. I'll be watching these candles to see when we actually start to show signs of a trend reversal

If you can work 40 hours a week for someone else's dream, but can't motivate yourself to work 5 hours a week on your own (eg. learning crypto/DeFi or something that will make you money), you will have a hard time reaching financial freedom.

It's not fair to call all altcoins "shitcoins" anymore. #Bitcoin is down 38% and the dominance of #Bitcoin is still in a local downtrend. Clearly the #crypto asset class is bigger than just #Bitcoin. But there are still a lot of shitcoins.

Not sure I remember the last time the majors like BTC looked so bad, and yet we had so many assets performing so well. Not even by sector/type but by specific asset. This is a really cool decoupling to see.

1/ In late 2020 there was a strong narrative being pushed that you didn't need to buy/hold ETH - all you needed was BTC + DeFi blue chips (aka the "crypto barbell" strategy). That turned out to be horribly wrong with ETH strongly outperforming BTC and most DeFi in 2021.
