D4vd has officially been charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances in the killing of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Additional charges to be filed include lewd and lascivious acts with an individual under the age of 14, and mutilating human remains of a body.

D4vd has been charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney with first-degree murder with special circumstances (lying in wait) in the killing of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a charge that carries a potential sentence of life without parole or the death penalty.

Yesterday in Shreveport, Lousiana, 31-year-old Shamar Elkins killed eight children, seven of whom were his biological children. He also shot and injured two women, the mothers of the children. The eighth child was a cousin.
After the shootings, he carjacked a vehicle and fled, leading police on a chase. He was shot and killed by officers during the pursuit.
This was one of the deadliest mass shootings in the U.S. in recent years in terms of child victims.
The coroner says they were identified by their mothers as:
