Musk has a history of tweaking X to his liking. He's demoted posts from Substack, changed rules to ban links to other social platforms, cratered the engagement of news outlets and had his people remove journalists.

This was retweeted by Musk and in some ways says the quiet part out loud.
Musk has long tried to give his Twitter deal purpose by saying it was for "free speech." But here we have an investor in that deal saying it was a move to remove regulatory and political "bottlenecks."

2) the NYT had very little coverage on its website, now they have a lot

I went and got a physical copy and took this photo
The shooting was at 8:34pm ET on Saturday night
Is this not enough time to get the story in print?
If not, then how is this “news”?

This isn't a new phenomenon, but it is always interesting to see the person who controls this platform and has its most followed account engage with and spread unconfirmed information in the aftermath of a breaking incident.
