"Hundreds"...sure. How many of those doctors accused, targeted, eventually jailed and lost their income, assets, careers were actually treating people in pain but were suddenly found to be outside of newly imposed LIMITS on these meds, limits that were (and STILL ARE) insufficient to treat certain very painful, life-altering conditions? You should just be thankful you are not one of those people affected by this, completely deprived of the one thing that can give relief and some quality of life.

I will boycott any show that pushes the false narrative that opioid pain medications were the cause of any such epidemic. This is a lie pushed by the grifter law firms that saw the chance for making billions off the next mass tort litigation. And then they got greedy state AGs on board.

You are exactly the type of person these grifter law firms targeted, which is obvious bcz you are repeating their talking points exactly as designed! They even bragged about this in a podcast in which one of the lawyers involved spoke about the importance of getting the public (ie, YOU) on board as a key element for any successful mass tort!

It's most definitely NOT the job of any lawyer to conjure up a fake crisis bcz they have potential deep pockets to exploit!! I don't think they cared one whit who the litigation harmed, nor do I think they cared one whit about any supposedly wrongdoing by any pharmaceutical company! They were driven by PURE GREED, and that is all!! Your accusation of a conspiracy theory is BS!!

I personally do not care what pharmaceutical companies said or did not say. This is just a talking point used to get everyone on board with looking at these meds as so dangerous that no one should have them. It was all a ploy by grifting law firms, who bragged about their success in finding the next mass tort litigation with deep pockets to mine.

@4MedFreedom control but there are smoking gun emails that pharmaceutical companies lied about the known addiction risk saying that OxyContin in particular couldn’t be abused and that unlike Morphine, Oxy wasn’t addictive if you were a true pain patient which was a flat out lie.

And if you did not need those meds, then you are a fraud and a cheater, the type of person who led to this ridiculous idea that there was over prescribing that led to some sort of crisis meaning no one else should be allowed to receive these meds.

@AustinPlanet @4MedFreedom They passed that crap out like candy. By time time I was in my 20s they were prescribing me 120 - 30mg oxycodone every 10 days, plus Avinza morphine extended release 2x day, plus 80mg oxycotin.

Something I learned very early on. Election officials do not care about your bell curve. They do not randomize ballots in the warehouse. You can get wildly different populations from one batch to another. Which is why we have precinct maps. Then you don't have to make these hilariously bad assumptions.

When you go into a classroom in which a professor is giving a lecture, disrupt the lecture, threaten those in attendance, and make it impossible for the professor to continue to lecture, you are not exercising your right to free speech. I have never been more honored in my life than being asked to serve y nation as the Director of @ONDCP I serve with an incredible team and being sworn in by @VP , (ceremonial swearing in) who truly understands the gravity and importance of fighting for American lives against the illicit drugs that are poisoning our children, families and destroying our communities was one of the greatest moments in my life. Being there with some of my family ( wish they all could’ve made it) and friends reminded me that everyday is well worth the fight !
