@lisa03865019 also watched a fair bit of Cerci this season, I think the ‘signing a fan’ talk has stopped some from seeing how good she is, especially as the quality of player around her will be significantly higher. Think she could surprise a few which is strange to say for a league’s top g/a.

@lisa03865019 I don’t necessarily disagree about the first part. But the way I see it is that we’re not as far away from the league title as others do, I genuinely believe Stanway would’ve helped us turn some of our draws into wins with the way she can grab a game by the scruff of the neck…

a goal’s a goal, but I’m so tired of her getting into these positions just to hit it right down the middle. Without the deflection it’s another pass to the GK, like we’ve seen time & time again in our colours. Lack of conviction at big moments is my biggest frustration with her.

@lisa03865019 yeah, I do think I’m a little more positive on our rumoured signings than most (which is rare for me) but definitely not enough at the moment, and I can’t see a top-tier winger incoming so we’re gonna feel short in that area. Felt like we had to go big at CB &/or LW this year.

@ArsenalRefresh 100%. The rest of the window had to be perfection in order for that decision to not matter as much. But from the rumours so far clearly that’s not happening either. Can’t even use the experience card for her. Kelly is 27 and won more than double the trophies. There you go

@lisa03865019 Genuinely an unforgivable decision, starts the summer window on a huge downer, especially when there shouldn’t have even been a decision to make. So clearly the natural end to her time here, there isn’t one argument someone can make for her to stay that I’d agree with.

I really do want to like watching him play football because he’s seems like such a good dude and the club are convinced on seeing him as a star. Just wish every 2nd touch wasn’t a 50/50… and that’s when his first touch doesn’t go out for a throw.

@AlfieCrump8 totally agree, obviously sometimes there’s nothing that can be done if a player wants something different, but the club have to do everything they can to keep her beyond next season.

I need that extension so bad, man. Until then imma worry that Ona is a short-term McCa*e upgrade, longer-term Fox replacement. Not forgetting that we have one of the brightest prospects in the position too. Unless she wants a return to the US, I can’t be seeing Foxy elsewhere.

@Lanasivai yep, as long as Ona is the replacement then the club were in the right (the panic extension was definitely wrong tho), but if you offered any club the chance to sign one or the other, they’d all pick Ona.

@ArsenalRefresh The long term frustration would have been huge if we had renewed her and Chelsea had signed Ona. They can enjoy an already declining player with the four year contract they have given her.

don’t worry, we don’t need your empathy, we got the best two-footed fullback itw on her way to replace ya. (WSL clips only just to show she was outperforming all fullbacks at just 23 y/o in this league.)

Franchise Player. I never like being so over-dependent on 1 player, but sometimes they’re just too good not to be. Love that 2 of our major signings this summer are already so familiar with her game. Will always be a team game, but it’s her team right now.

don’t know, and more importantly don’t care what papa mccabe wanted us to take from his interview that was so highly clamoured for, but all I’m reading is that if we only offered her a 1-year extension then that better be all Foord is getting too, even that is 12 months too long.

The announcement & video immediately burns her entire 10+years at our club to the ground, and that’s fair enough, she’d have had to realise that before it was all released. Will finish by saying I’ve loved the vast majority of our fans’ reaction, and those uninvolved can just🤫.

There has to be rivalry in sport, she’s joined the ONE club that automatically erases all legend-status. A major factor being that she has to lean into the villain gimmick to get that lot on her side as they’ve spent the last decade hating her more than any player in the sport.

people outside the club think we’re mad we’ve ‘lost’ McCabe 😂🤣 we’re only mad at the club for buckling and attempting a pity extension (but I expect nothing less from our higher-ups). If news is to be believed then we’ve unequivocally upgraded, so I have no issue ‘losing’ her.

@Eli97720Elisha Our academy also produces great talent that we could do a better job at highlighting. Doesn’t change that I’d like to see more diversity, that’ll always be the beauty of club football to me. It’s all hypothetical anyways, just personally think our British core is there right now.

need muwfc to lock-in and convince Toone to stay because I know full well Wheatley can’t keep her contracts away when there’s a Lioness on a free out there. I’ve hit my limit once Stanway is here, I’m not trying to watch my national team every week of the footballing calendar.
