Gotta be honest, the TV show is one thing, but if you’re watching on their .tv stream it’s a lot more jarring. Between the on-air talent and the actual cut of the show, paying $175/year directly to them feels like I’m being robbed.

These kind of people exist everywhere in motorsport. Then folks have the audacity to ask why it’s so hard to find new talent.
There’s kids out there hanging on to a last thread of hope asking questions like this. And if given the chance they’d outwork you and appreciate it more

@Dragracemayhem Yeah, but if it was treated and scheduled in place of pro stock that may not be the case. As long as it’s announced and scheduled as a support class it’ll be treated no better than sportsman

1 NHRA has a Pro Mod class and the drivers have openly said they don't want more races many think they have too many now
2 Even at the races where there is Pro mod people still will leave the stands no matter if it's Pro stock or Pro mod

Hot take: The fans paid to spend their time there. If they exodus during certain things, it means it’s time to work to give them a reason not to.
And “The racing’s good” doesn’t count. The sport is ultimately built more around spectacle and stories than competition.

Trying something new (without the expensive gimmick) would be going to a 3 qualifying rounds on Friday and racing on Saturday format. With both days concluding with rounds at night. Then we truly see the fastest runs at the climax of each day.

@HankSilver3 If you want to participate in the big leagues you have to be okay with everything that comes with it. Yeah maybe it’s not ideal that a camera is in your face. But that story telling helps cover your check at the end of the night.
