In India there is a rise of a hidden labour force which actually are making decent money these days, the category is called data labeling and content moderation. Many folks from rural and small towns have been hired for this job. And some of the dark side of the job is where you need to moderate adult content.. and that’s where you getting much higher pay per hour. Guardian did an amazing story on it which exposed the dark side of this job, and how Indian workers are forced to watch porn for hours to make money. Shared in the article link in comment.

I dont know how many people know that but Uber is running a pilot program with some of its drivers in india for AI Data labeling. targeting over 1.4M drivers in india. people makes around $5-$10 per hour data labeling job in india. that means around 5K INR for 10 hours job. around 1.5 Lacs per month. there would be gold rush to get that job.
