not to be too preachy, but if you feel bad for punch the baby monkey in japan, you should consider adopting an animal from your local animal shelter, as lots of animals need love. if you do so, please consider the long term commitment and don't adopt animals as toys

if you can't adopt, you always donate your time or money to an animal shelter or rescue organization. many of these places need supplies. this is esp true starting in march, as feral cats start having kittens and shelters get overwhelmed. dropping off a bag of food can help
