Christ established the Church in the first century. The creeds were written in the fourth. The gap proves nothing, as the same apostolic body that recognized your canon at Carthage in 397 wrote Nicaea in 325. You're still downstream of both.
Not to mention the pre-nicene texts generally match the Orthodox view, prior to arius.
