@StPadrePio1887 @GroyperClip The church previously allowed the death penalty in extreme cases because containment was either impractical or actually impossible, so it was literally a form of defense. There is no reason for the death penalty in 2026.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip It didn't. Whatever V2 and its antipopes say about it is a clear contradiction of what the Church historically taught and practiced.

FLASHBACK: Nick Fuentes explains why he's changing his mind on the death penalty☠️ "I just don't think we have the right to take life in that way. And if we don't have to, then we shouldn't."

Edward Gibbon wrote that during the enlightenment, which was the time of neoclassical pagan tradition idealization, the source of modern ideals of liberty and bodily autonomy which are two of the biggest cracks in America’s foundation today. Rome’s issues were woven deep before Constantine even brought Christianity to the empire. Revolts and riots that the expansion couldn’t support, civil wars, etc… Besides, the eastern sect Byzantine survived for another 1000 years while remaining deeply, deeply Christian.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Corruption was an age old problem for Rome, as it is for all civilizations. Including the U.S. Corruption doesn't destroy empires. Also the influence for my interpretation isn't modern, but rather the most classic understanding for how the empire fell as written by Edward Gibbon

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip If you are to afraid to do it, then let us atheists do the executions. You christians can stay all high and mighty advocating for the rights of third world child rapists.

@Davidgbrownlee @GroyperClip This is a very nuance-less modern culture war interpretation that borders on ahistorical. Rome’s literal biggest problem was Rome, the internal power struggles and corruption.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Rome fell because they allowed for mass migration, as the US does now, which brought in inferior cultures and inferior morality. The roman aristocracy themselves became extremely privileged and spoiled, they started allowing women in positions of power as well.

You have a flawed understanding of history. Rome fell due to strategic over-expansion. The dark ages ended due to the Renaissance, which was largely influenced by Christian humanism. The belief that humanity can, not only, emulate the divine but practically become it through action and dedication. This was a stark contrast to the previous medieval interpretation of a natural hierarchy: demons—>humans (basically groveling animals deserving of no redemption)—>angels—>God. It was Christianity that preserved knowledge during the dark ages and brought forth the modern era.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Europe only took itself out of the dark ages when they started ignoring christian morality, and started engaging in things like the crusades. Whilst the crusades where done under a christian banner, their purpose contradicted christian morality.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Strength is accomplishing your will into reality. Strength is winning, and accomplishing your way. Christ had lost, he developed morality towards his killers (forgiving them) after he lost. As I said, morality is the last breath of a dying civilization. Strength is not dying.

@Davidgbrownlee @GroyperClip Killing defenseless Palestinians is strength? Then what is strength? Strength is Christ forgiving his killers as they actively crucified him. Go with love, not vengeance. The Israelites sought vengeance after the fall of the House of David, and they’re still searching.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Countries don't exist because of morality. Europe did not achieve greatness from morality. They achieved greatness by great will and strength. Israel exists right now from their own great will and strength. Morality and virtue are the dying breathes of a loosing culture.

@Davidgbrownlee @OfficerBarone @GroyperClip Genesis 9:6 if a man spills another's blood, so by man shall his blood be spilled. The problem isn't that we don't need Christianity. The problem is we need REAL Christianity. And we need weak women to shut up when good men have to do bad shit to bad people.

@OfficerBarone @GroyperClip This is why Christianity is bad for America, we ought to execute criminals in the masses with no moral remorse. We have a bad enough housing crisis, last thing we need to do is pay for these thugs to have housing for life. Decapitation 24 hours after conviction.
