Bruh the spurs are dirty. They all play dirty. Silver just decided it was their time so they get away with all of it.

@BGNHoops Wemby is a dirty player plain and simple. Spurs are also getting away with a ton of fouls.

I get Wemby is way taller than everyone else but that doesn’t mean players can just foul him and get away with it. He gets hacked every time he drives and the refs don’t call a foul half the time. It’s unreal.

By all accounts, the He-Man movie is said to be rather well done. Unfortunately all the huge influential YouTuber accounts that I once respected, complain that it is not 100% Faithfully accurate. Not everything has to be in order to be good on a level that brings back escapism.

@OrangeHat2185 peak era of He-Man was 1983 to 1985, one could plus that a few more years, but largely disappeared by 1990s so we are looking at boys who today would be mid/late 40s into early 50s-again point is that its a small older fan base to draw on for a movie

@EricRogersHere Still find it crazy how many people think this franchise was only for 50 year olds... I'm part of the primo demo and I'm not even 45

Basing your opinion off the lame-duck opening of an IP only 50 year old dudes were going to care about? Entirely unserious person. There are at least 7 films this year alone that are/have crushed theatrical expectations. You still have time to delete this, chief.

Unfortunately, the theater era appears to be on its way out. This movie would've been profitable in like 2017. But post-COVID viewing habits combined with the expensive cost of theater tickets and the inconvenience of audience members without theater etiquette make waiting for streaming the sensible option.

Third, movies don't exist in a vacuum scenario. They can be part of a wider scope that brings in money through toy sales, clothing, video games, music, merchandise, licensing etc etc etc (2/2)

Please stop judging if a movie is successful or not based on box-office alone. 1st there's other ways to judge success other than strictly financial. 2nd, even if we just talk financially this isn't 1980 and it's a different landscape that includes streaming dollars etc (1/2)

@MattyMike0718 Simply not true. My wife knew who all the characters was and she's under 40 as are many of my friends who know the property

Dude, no one under the age of 45 even knows who He-Man was. He's an andrygenous relatively obscure Gen-X superhero dressed in S&M attire and his nemesis Skeletor is more popular. Of course this movie was gonna bomb.

@SirBylHolte Why do people always view movies in a vacuum. I'm not saying it will be successful or not but there's simply more to it. Merchandise, streaming money, toys etc etc etc

Warner Bros. is crowing that "Supergirl" sold approximately 110,000 tickets in its first 24 hours in the U.S., or around $1.75 million in presales. For context, that puts her behind: "Superman": 325,000 tickets/$5 million "Black Widow: 175,000 tickets/$2.4 million "Thunderbolts*": 160,000 tickets/$2.5 million Some more fun facts: Production budget: ~$175 million Marketing (estimated): ~$75–100 million Distribution costs/fees (estimated): ~$25–50 million Total cost: roughly $275–325 million Estimated theatrical breakeven: roughly $550–650 million worldwide! And even if we lowball marketing at just $25 million, the movie would still need around $450 million worldwide to break even theatrically. So while the trades are celebrating a $1.75 million opening day of presales, IMO "Supergirl" is already DOA. Hollywood math is a hell of a drug. I still can't stop laughing!😂🤣
