Just saw the new Masters of the Universe last night. It was crazy, fun, and action packed. It looked awesome. They embraced the wild playfulness of the original cartoon, mocked woke nonsense, and mostly stayed away from any real leftist agenda.

Time to give “MOTO:Revolution” a chance. I hated Revelations so I never watched this one.. although I heard it was significantly better. #MOTU

My two "nerdy" nitpicks: 1. No using the sword to transform Battle Cat 2.He-Man fighting Skeletor's minions in Snake Mountain and several of them had double-bladed axes and were getting thrown around and dropping their weapons and I was all "aw yeah, he's gonna pick up an axe baby, we're gonna get classic He-Man with sword and axe," and then...he never picked one up. Dang it! Ah well.

Just saw Masters of the Universe in IMAX Laser for the second time in three days, and I *never* do that anymore. This movie is GREAT! Flew by even faster the second time. People in the audience on a freaking Monday afternoon were literally applauding at multiple times throughout the film. When the credits wound down (and I made sure to stay for the final post credits sequence which I missed the first time) one guy in that back loudly said "That was so good!" And it freaking WAS. Gosh damn, I just felt good walking out of the theater and had the super catchy rock anthem in my head the entire drive home. So rare to get to see a film in the theater these days and just be grinning almost from beginning to end, constantly thinking "I can't believe I'm watching this, how did this movie come to be and how is it so much better than I ever imagined?" The nitpicks I had the first time largely fell by the wayside this time around. No, the auditorium wasn't packed by any means, but that's part of the reason why I wanted to catch it in IMAX again real quick while I still could. When this movie is gone, the people who saw it on the big screen are going to be really, really happy they did. Don't miss your chance!

Frank Langella took on the role because his kids loved the toys and he hammed it up to such a degree that I was 45 years old (yes, I love this polished turd of a movie) before I realized he smuggled “Richard III” into Skeletor dialogue. Even Jared Leto didn’t do that. Also, they ran out of money and it almost shows on Courtney Cox’s face.

I seriously don’t understand what’s going on with this movie. As I unfortunately predicted, it’s not doing well at the box office and yet the PREORDER for the 4K Blu-ray is the #1 seller in movies & TV on Amazon, both critics and audience reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and the merchandise is selling out everywhere. I kind of feel like I’m being gaslit here, to be honest.

This is the last standalone post I'll make about the @motumovie2026 outside of replies. I get it. It's just a movie but so were the cartoons that we fell in love with. While the cartoons were short. They taught us a lot. For many of us they were the only source for any kind of moral code and ethics. I'm not a fan of the changes made. The race and gender swaps weren't sticking to the lore. The 200X gave a black Zodak but they did in a way that added to the lore with out taking anything away. Proper. As for the characteristics of the characters. This is by far the most atrocious. Primarily Duncan. The battle hardened heroes who had been fighting for 15 yrs without the Power Sword turn cowards and give up Adam when they're faced with death. Let's get into Duncan. Duncan never would've had the mental, emotional and psychological weakness of ever becoming a drunk and leaving Teela to take care of him. Regardless of his loss. He would've continued to lead because even though he failed. He knew he was still looked to for guidance. He would've represented the parent who takes care of their child regardless of what they're facing emotionally, physically etc. Not the one who breaks. He would've represented the parent who would be concerned if he is properly preparing his child to face a world that took everything from him. He would've shown Teela that regardless of what comes against you, you have the strength to face it. You don't have to allow yourself to become a broken drunk. He would've been the parent that in the final battle fighting side by side with his daughter. He would instinctively drawn as much opposition as possible to pull it away from her. He would push to the very end until he knew she could stand on her own. He would've never broken. I say this because as a kid. This is what I learned about Duncan from that 80s cartoon. The stories told during that time were deeper than the topic at the end of each episode. I recognized the characteristics and strengths of each character even though my young mind couldn't articulate it. While this movie taught a lesson. It did so in a manner that stripped the strengths of a man that would've never allowed it to happen. My disappointment is that I thought would have a movie to one day watch with my grandson that showed one of my favorite characters how I saw him as a child. But I got a broken drunk cowering from an enemy he had already faced many times. I would rather my children to one day learn what they were protected from. Though not perfectly but still protected with me standing beside them through the final battle. This story could've represented the parent that bent but never broke because the love for their child wouldn't let them. If my young mind could see this in a much simpler manner but not articulate it from a simple cartoon. I know my grandson will be able to do the same. #MOTU #MastersoftheUniverse

@Sonnie_Slim @XBOX No you don't need it, but it's amazing what a fresh confident face can do for your brand, especially when there's tangible results along with it.

Say what you want about Xbox, but PlayStation does not have a winning personality like Asha Sharma right now. This woman makes me a believer.
