Alhamdulillah, I’ve had the opportunity to visit the blessed land of Rabwah twice within the space of a year.
From learning about its rich history to experiencing it in person, every moment was unforgettable.
This is a memory I will cherish close to my heart.

For nearly 9 months, Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim—a 16-year old American citizen—has been unlawfully detained, tortured and starved at an Israeli prison.
Now, he faces an Israeli tribunal that is threatening to unjustly imprison him.

Guidance on Attending Music Concerts:
During a recent group mulaqat of Lajna Imaillah Canada, with Huzoor (aa), an economics and finance student asked for guidance on attending music concerts.
Huzoor (aa) questioned whether a serious and dedicated student has so much free time that they can afford to spend it at music concerts. He described such events as environments of ear-splitting noise that are not constructive or beneficial. A student of finance, he noted, should have a creative and industrious mind, focused on their assignments and on how they can contribute to improving the economy, leaving no time for such futilities [fuzuliyat].
Furthermore, such events can often lead to other moral ills, such as dancing and intermingling. Huzoor (aa) advised that it is always better and wiser to avoid environments where there is a clear potential for immorality to spread, for the sake of one’s own future.

Many of you know I had surgery yesterday. The first video I saw when I picked up my phone was of this young man who was kidnapped and tortured by Israel until he lost his sight. He hasn’t been able to receive any treatment.
I had a retinal detachment and got surgery within hours.
I’ve never felt so disgustingly privileged. Please share this so Mahmoud can get treatment and not lose hope.

That’s what happened to Mahmoud Abu Foul at the age of 28. He was abducted from Kamal Adwan hospital on December 27th and endured 8 months of brutal torture, beatings and humiliation. Mahmoud like many other returned hostages isn’t getting the proper medical care and can’t get a prosthetic leg as it is not available in Gaza. Borders need to open for doctors and field hospitals to provide adequate treatment. Till then, The Sameer Project are providing medical care through our Sawarha medical point and medical treatment camp to Mahmoud and others like him. Meanwhile, we gave Mahmoud dressings and medications worth $68 and cash aid. We are looking to support the released hostages with medical and mental health care.
