A Florida fuel supplier has been sentenced to 5 years in federal prison after a jury convicted him of a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme targeting U.S. warships operating overseas. He submitted falsified invoices and wire documents, stole over $4.5 million in taxpayer funds, and then tried to hide behind a fake identity when scrutiny began. Defrauding the U.S. military is not just fraud, it undermines operations that protect this country. Our Office, alongside our federal partners, will continue to pursue those who exploit military systems for personal gain and hold them accountable.
