I grew up watching jingoistic bores wave their flags singing Rule Britannia whilst i was a kid fending off daily attacks from racist nutters in Union Jack t-shirts. When I was given my own prom in 2007 @RoyalAlbertHall indian classical musicians filled the stage. Made me smile.

The Rule Britannia brouhaha is completely made up. No antiracist org has asked for it to be dropped. What’s played at The Proms has never been a major concern of Black Lives Matter. And yet, those facts don’t seem to matter much to those media organisations covering the furore.
