This is the pattern I worked on all last month! I was so delighted with the result that I wanted to share it with you. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Robert Allotment cat,now helped by Janet & Amanda
(Amanda) Yesterday the humans had a thing called a Coffee Morning in the veranda. I went to it too (but I didn't have any coffee) This human with a big beard always makes a fuss of me and I really like him. Auntie Sally gave Uncle Mick a little present to thank him for being such a good neighbour - wasn't that nice of her!

A man got on the bus with both of his front trouser pockets full of golf balls and sat down next to a beautiful blonde. The puzzled blonde kept looking at him and his bulging pockets. Finally, after many glances from her, he said, "It's golf balls." The blonde continued to look at him for a very long time, thinking deeply about what he had said. Finally, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, she asked, "Does it hurt as much as tennis elbow?" 😂

Saxon copper disc brooch intricately decorated with gold and garnets, AD 650-670. This must have been a treasured possession! From Floral Street, Covent Garden, once the heart of ‘Lundenwic’, the early Saxon town of London. Museum of London 📷 by me #Archaeology

Madeline is looking for a new home with someone who doesn’t live close to any main roads, or a train station! 🚂 She found a new home last year but really likes to wander and has managed to get on a train a couple of times now. Thankfully the driver has kept her in his cab and taken her back to where she got on, however going forward and for her own safety, this can’t continue. Madeline is 6 years old. She is an outdoor cat and likes to get outside. She is fit and healthy with no issues. Madeline is use to living alongside another cat however they tend to just ignore each other. She doesn’t have any experience with dogs. A home with older kids would be okay. Madeline is chipped and spayed. We’d really like to find her a home away from any main roads and transport links, such as train stations or bus stations. Possibly a farm setting - we would highly consider this for her own happiness and safety. For more information or to offer Madeline a new home please contact our rehome team by email on info@help2rehome.com Sorry we are unable to reply to messages via the page.

There are views in the Peak District that you can lose yourself in, watching for hours as the light changes, the mist moves, the shadows shorten. Your eyes follow miles upon miles of stone walls, stretching fields, hills and valleys, dotted with trees. You watch the sheep and the birds, you wonder about the lives in the farms and the barns. And then you realise that you're late for your appointments yet again. "Sorry, I was distracted by beauty." Surely that should always be forgivable?! 📍 Peak District, England

With Storm Dave about to batter the North of England this evening here’s Peter Brook’s ‘April - Shower - With a Wandering Sheep’, a perfectly observed portrayal of very wet and windy weather, with no sign of life save for the usual lone ewe, easy to miss by the side of the road.

Much is made of kids and their modern gadgets or screen time, but the magic of a model railway is clearly something that spans the generations. I remember watching little trains, just like this when I was his age. I'm sat behind the camera with a great big smile on my face too ☺️

My elderly aunt told me that in the 1950s, when she was living in a remote cottage in Scotland, they heard mysterious banging on the door at night. Terrified, they nervously opened the door to find an eerie sight; a hare sitting there in the moonlight. It had been bashing the door with its feet. It was an uncanny experience, especially knowing the folkloric tradition that witches can take the form of a hare…

Nope. You're not having this fish. YW has been very standoffish with 717 today, refusing to feed her then having a peck at her when she finally grabbed the grub. We can never know for sure, but it does seem as if he is still waiting for Blue 35. #FoulshawOspreys

a big sort out and I found an old discoloured brooch it belonged to granny, gave it some love and time and it’s now absolutely beautiful. I hope she knows I will treasure it and when I wear it I will think of her. It couldn’t be more appropriate for my little nature loving heart
