Hillpoint Elementary School & Col. Fred Cherry Middle School have earned statewide recognition by the Virginia Department of Education for their exemplary counseling programs! Hillpoint Elementary has been named a Virginia School Counseling Showcase School, while Col. Fred Cherry Middle School has been chosen as a Model Comprehensive School Counseling Program site, the only middle school in Virginia to receive this recognition this year. As part of these honors, both schools are now included on a statewide list of exemplary programs, giving school counselors across the Commonwealth an opportunity to visit and learn from their innovative and student-centered counseling practices! #SPSCreatesAchievers

☀️ Suffolk Public Schools will operate on a summer work schedule from Monday, June 9 through Friday, August 8, 2025. All schools and departments will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The Facilities Department will be open from 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.; The Technology Department will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
