Wait oh!
Ojukwu insisted that the last penny of the large sums his father left in swiss banks for him be used before any of the funds of Eastern Region will be touched. £8,000,000 😤
8 fucking million pounds in 1967.
Even after losing all his inheritance in Nigeria.

OZO EMENA… NEVER AGAIN!!!
We remember the cries that echoed through the night,
The dreams extinguished before the morning light.
We remember the mothers whose tears became rivers,
The fathers who stood firm while their hearts were shattered.
We remember the children,
Whose laughter was stolen by the thunder of war,
Whose innocent eyes witnessed horrors
No soul should ever endure.
The fields of Biafra became silent witnesses,
Holding the stories of heroes and heroines
Who gave everything they had,
So that their people might live another day.
Some fell with courage upon the battlefield,
Others perished from hunger, sickness, and despair.
Yet their sacrifice remains written
Upon the soil of Ala Igbo,
Upon the conscience of history.
O sons and daughters of Biafra,
Your names may not all be recorded in books,
But they are engraved forever
In the hearts of a grateful people.
We mourn not only those who died,
But the songs left unsung,
The futures left unrealized,
The families forever divided by grief.
Today we bow our heads in solemn remembrance.
We honor the brave.
We honor the forgotten.
We honor every soul lost during those dark days.
May their memories never fade.
May their sacrifices never be denied.
May their stories continue to inspire generations yet unborn.
And as the wind whispers through the land,
May it carry one eternal message:
Never Again.
Never again shall such suffering be visited upon our people.
Never again shall the tears of our mothers flow in vain.
Never again shall the blood of the innocent cry out unanswered.
To our heroes and heroines,
We remember.
We mourn.
We honor.
And we shall never forget.

Episode 8 – The Uli artist who designed the Biafra currency, Simon Okeke (1937–1969). This one runs deep: just a year after designing the currency, he died during the war. We shall keep remembering him.

I hope the ones who didn’t make it know that their children survived. I hope they know their bloodline did not end with them.
I hope they know we rebuilt Igbo land. I hope they know it didn’t end with them.
I hope they know their daughters grew into some of the most beautiful, resilient women in the world, and their sons became successful wherever they went.
I hope they know that despite the war, the loss, the starvation, the displacement, and everything that was done to break us, ndi Igbo endured.
We are still here. We rebuilt. We thrived.
We will always remember.

Appreciation !
ENUGU RANGERS FC CHANGED PARADE DATE TO JUNE 2,
CANCEL MAY 30TH PARADE
I appreciate the Enugu Rangers FC management for canceling the planned Championship parade on May 30, 2026, coinciding with the global commemoration of Biafran fallen heroes and heroines.
For many unaware of the reasons behind IPOB's opposition to the parade, it is linked to the founding of Enugu Rangers International FC on January 29, 1970—only two weeks following the end of the Biafra War.
Rangers FC Founded by Dr. Jerry Enyeazu and supported by the East Central State government, the club was designed to aid the Igbo community in recovering from the Biafran civil war, serving as a vital emblem of hope and unity in the wake of post-war turmoil.
At the end of the civil war , the Biafra region was left in a state of physical, economic, and psychological devastation. In this atmosphere of despair, Dr. Enyeazu acknowledged that football could serve as a significant means for psychological recovery and fostering the Biafra community. He collaborated with Pharmacist John Egwu and local entrepreneur Chief A.W. Ibe to generate funds, collect sports gear, and mobilize the Biafra community.
However, Rangers FC was instrumental in the divided Biafra region, as the club contributed to overcoming ethnic divisions. Over the years, the team transformed from a solely post-war Igbo symbol into a genuine national force by bringing in players from all parts of Nigeria, aiding in alleviating the ongoing tensions from the civil war.
Consequently, it is evident that for Rangers FC to parade through the streets of Enugu on the day IPOB declared a complete shutdown in the Biafraland for honoring our fallen heroes and heroines is akin to disrespecting the legacy of these Biafran heroes whose sacrifices we are commemorating, and on whose foundation Rangers FC was established.

Biafra Day 30th May🖤
Join me in reciting the Biafran National Anthem, Land of the Rising Sun.
Eastern Heritage Network@heritagenewsnet
MAY 30 — MEMORIAL DAY FOR THE FALLEN OF BIAFRA 🖤 Today, we remember. The blockade of Biafra cut off food and medicine, triggering a devastating famine that claimed the lives of an estimated 1 to 2 million people, many of them women and children. We remember the mothers who buried their children. The children who never grew up. The families torn apart by war and hunger. Today is not about politics. It is about memory. May 30, the day Biafra was declared, remains a day of reflection for millions. 🖤 We remember. We will always remember.
