Body language is very important. How you carry yourself in tough times screams out loud. It can also inspire others to persevere through tough times, if done correctly. As a coach, when I see a player with bad body language, I want to go straight at them. It’s tough to be present in the moment when you’re living in the past. It’s tough to play the next play when your mind is still on the last one. The good news is mental toughness can be developed. By doing tough things and being intentional about how you respond to it, you can build resilience & teach yourself & others how to carry yourself when tough times hit. Give yourself an advantage and respond to tough times with your head held high, your chest out, and a calm, confidence in your demeanor.

@ConnerHigh wins regional playoff match with an exciting finish in double overtime. Reagan Buchert on an assist by Maya Owen to send us to the 2nd round of regionals. This is what playing high school is all about. Moments mean something different with a name on the front!

There’s a myth about success… one that says it’s all about you. Here’s the truth… you’re not a real success unless you are helping others be successful. That’s the greatest self-growth strategy of all. The more you help others grow and improve, you grow and improve. Focus on serving others and you’ll find something even greater than success… you’ll find significance.

If you want you and your team to get better then you have to commit to getting better by asking these three questions every day. 1. What went well? 2. What can we do better? 3. What did we learn? Truth + accountability = growth.
