This afternoon, Dr Ahmed Idris, Secretary General and CEO of the Kenya Red Cross Society, held a high-level engagement with the Patron of Darajani Gogo FC Dr. Ahmed Kalebi, alongside members of the club’s Management Committee. Among those in attendance were Finance Officer Nasser Mahad, Operations Officer Sudi Avoga, and Liaison Officer Tish Elizabeth. The meeting focused on reinforcing the long standing relationship between the club and Kenya Red Cross society , with discussions centered on sustainability, operational support, and shared community impact. Dr Idris reaffirmed the organization’s continued commitment to Darajani Gogo FC, acknowledging the club’s resilience despite the challenges experienced over the past year. As part of this renewed support, he outlined key interventions including the provision of team transport for all remaining fixtures and the release of sponsorship funding aimed at stabilizing and strengthening the club’s performance during the closing stages of the season. With nine matches left in the campaign, this support comes at a crucial moment, offering both logistical relief and renewed motivation as the team works to regain momentum. The partnership reflects a broader vision of empowering community-based football as a tool for development and social transformation. In his remarks, the Club Patron expressed sincere appreciation to KRCS and its leadership for their unwavering support over the years, noting that the organization remains the club’s longest-serving corporate partner. From its early days in the County League, through Regional competitions, and progression into Division Two and Division One, KRCS has consistently stood by the club’s journey. He emphasized that while challenges are part of any competitive environment, Darajani Gogo FC remains firmly rooted in its mission of driving positive community impact. The club continues to represent Darajani, Kibra with pride, using football not only as a competitive platform but also as a vehicle for social change and empowerment.
