US Marshals arrested Jose Ignacio Bonilla-Garcia, 32, on April 4 near Richmond, TX, as he was allegedly attempting to flee to Mexico. ICE has since lodged a detainer with the Fort Bend County Jail. Bonilla-Garcia entered the U.S. illegally at least four times and was removed three times in 2020 under Title 42. He then snuck into the country as a gotaway, marking his fourth border crossing.
