@terrinakamura No Terri. I didn't. My great aunt lived there. It was beautiul. And so peaceful. I just dug for the littlenecks. A bucket full of the freshest best clams ever. Made a big delicious pot of chowder for the family. Mmm.

@raebops I wonder if we already talked about Guemes Island? Did you ever know the Passarelli family? When you dug for clams, what kind were they? I've been digging for razor clams for the past few years.

I have often wondered what my seven year old mother was thinking about here, in her seagrass rocking chair overlooking the sound in the San Juans.

@terrinakamura Thanks. I still have some fun stuff left to sell. Personally I only collect old California and old San Francisco stuff from the Golden Gate International Expo, art, pottery and Native American jewelry. No website. I was in store and on eBay occasionally. Taking a break now tho.

@raebops You must have a lot of cool things. Obviously some terrific photographs! Have you thought about creating a simple website, or do you already have one?

@terrinakamura Not so much anymore. I've been collecting for years but have also been an anti dealer for decades. My grandmother owned an antique store years ago. She taught me a lot. Now I say I Sell Old Stuff in my profile. Antique Dealer just sounds too snooty for me.

@terrinakamura Puget Sound. Guemes Island. I haven't been back since 1992 or so. I dug clams. Went kayaking. Gardened. And that was my mother as a little girl. Her life turned out so different than this beautiful picture. Beautiful island.

@raebops It's a wonderful image. I don't think I have childhood photos of either of my grandparents. What a treasure! Where in the San Juans?

@raebops Those old guys were always out there playing. When visiting the city, I don't see them anymore. Do they still use those courts?
