Made great use of his nuclear athleticism as a backline lob threat, defensive rebounder, and on the break. Showed fight and discipline keeping drivers in front, staying home on fakes, then being quick off his feet for contests/blocks. Even knocked down a couple of confident corner threes, addressing an area for improvement on a big stage.

Tarris Reed Jr. finished in the lane (12/15 FG) and beasted on the boards, putting up a historic 31-point, 27-board double-double while carrying UConn past a tough 15-seeded Furman team. First player with a 30 and 25 output in the NCAA Tournament since Elvin Hayes in 1968. The 6’11” senior big man dominated the Paladins with his size, strength, physicality, instincts, and aggressive swim moves in the lane. Reed grabbed 11 offensive rebounds while UConn surrendered just 4 offensive boards, underscoring his interior command at both ends. Strengthening his case for a guaranteed NBA contract on draft night, with a chance to further bolster his résumé against UCLA in the Round of 32.

Darryn Peterson shook off a slow start, putting his dynamic scoring arsenal on center stage with 28 points in 37 minutes while propelling Kansas past a feisty Cal Baptist squad. There’ve been very few guard prospects with the size, length, space creation, shot-making versatility, and all-around scoring talent that Peterson possesses. Good to see him looking healthier at the most important time of the year for the Jayhawks. Huge test awaiting the 19-year old potential No. 1 pick in the form of a rugged St. John’s defense on Sunday evening.

Tyler Tanner stepped up for Vandy to stave off a valiant upset effort by frisky McNeese State, securing the Commodores’ first NCAA Tournament victory since 2012. 26 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal while finishing +13 in a 10-point win. Drilled two deep off-the-dribble threes in critical moments (and another with almost no dip off the catch), speedily knifed his way through narrow alleys to the rim, executed simple playmaking reads with either hand, and played through contact (drawing 9 fouls) well for his size. The analytical darling was one of the best guards in America this season, earning 1st Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors. Big opportunity to elevate his stardom and draft stock with a March Madness run.

David Mirković was absolutely dominant in an Illinois thrashing of Penn in the First Round of March Madness. 29 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists on a 77.3 TS% while finishing +31 in 28 minutes. The Montenegrin freshman is tremendously skilled with innate feel for the game as a 6’9” 250 lbs bruiser, rendering him a nightmarish matchup for the Quakers. Knocked down threes off the bounce, showed comfort operating as either the handler or the roller/popper in ball screen actions, bludgeoned the glass (8 offensive boards), got what he wanted in the paint with a combo of power and nimble footwork, and unselfishly made plays for others. Plays an aesthetically quirky game and isn’t the most traditionally athletic guy around, but brings real winning qualities and is certainly being monitored closely by NBA teams.

Terrence Hill Jr. went berserk off the bench for VCU to kickstart March Madness. Career-high 34 points on 13-of-23 shooting (7/10 from three) to go along with 5 dimes and 5 boards, steering the Rams to a thrilling 19-point comeback overtime win over UNC. The 6’3” sophomore is one of the nation’s most dynamic backcourt bench weapons, averaging 24.1 points per 40 minutes on a 63.4 TS%. 1st Team All-Conference, Sixth Man of the Year, and Most Improved Player in the A10. Big opportunity for further ascension into national prominence on Saturday against Keaton Wagler and 3-seeded Illinois with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.

Iowa State’s Joshua Jefferson put his feel and versatility on full display throughout the Big 12 Tournament. 19.7 PTS, 9.7 REB, 4.0 AST, 2.3 STL, 1.0 BLK on a 61.6 TS% while finishing +58 in 3 games. The 2nd Team All-American brings an enticing combination of size, strength, playmaking, and two-way instincts as a 6’9” 240 pound utility forward. Chance to bolster his late first round case as the focal point of the 2-seed Cyclones, who have a chance to make a deep March Madness run.

Brayden Burries’ timely scoring (21 points on 10 shots) against Houston in the Big 12 Tournament championship game helped Arizona take home the hardware. The strong-bodied 6’5” freshman guard knows how and when to attack defensive vulnerabilities. Burries' patience, shotmaking prowess, and ability to play through contact have been invaluable to the Wildcats’ offense, perfectly complementing veteran backcourt mate, Jaden Bradley. Projected top ten pick who could really solidify his standing with a strong March Madness run on a team with championship aspirations.

Darius Acuff Jr. showed out and put another bullet on his NBA Draft résumé by leading Arkansas to their first SEC Tournament title since 2000. Scorched his competition to the tune of 30.3 points, 7.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game en route to MVP honors. The 19-year-old’s ability to dissect defenses while seamlessly blending his scoring and playmaking is a rare commodity. Carves up elite competition every which way on big stages while remaining unfazed by the moment. While some defensive foibles certainly persist, Acuff has built a strong case as a top ten pick, and very well may be knocking on the top five’s door with continued postseason success.

Zuby Ejiofor completely dominated on both ends of the floor, leading St. John's to a second straight Big East Tournament Championship and earning Most Outstanding Player honors. 19.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 4.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game throughout the Johnnies’ title run in friendly confines of MSG. Slightly undersized by NBA big man standards, but more than makes up for it with his motor, physicality, smarts, competitiveness, footwork, passing, and improving touch. Potential first round pick.

Ugonna Onyenso put forth yet another Herculean defensive effort in a narrow ACC Championship loss to top-ranked Duke. Gave a typically unflappable Cam Boozer fits all game with his length, mobility, motor, and rim-protection instincts, holding him to just 3-of-17 from the field. Racked up 9 emphatic blocks, giving him 21 for the ACC Tournament, shattering a record long-held by Tim Duncan.

Aday Mara was, once again, an X-factor for Michigan in a B1G Tournament quarterfinal rivalry matchup against Ohio State. 17 PTS, 7 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK on a 68.9 TS% while finishing +7 in a 4-point win. Rolled to the rim with purpose, finished lobs at odd angles with coordination, showed nimble footwork operating out of the baseline midpost, and anchored the paint with blocks, impactful contests, well-executed drop coverage, drive deterrence as a helper, and shot alterations with verticality. Unique prospect with a chance to further elevate his draft stock in the coming weeks on a March Madness title contender.

Ivan Kharchenkov put forth a masterful two-way performance in Arizona’s nail-biter of a Big 12 Tournament semi-final win over Iowa State. 17 PTS, 3 REB, 5 AST, 3 STL, 1 BLK on a 79.0 TS% Drove downhill with force, splashed corner threes, showed comfort as a pick-and-roll handler, fed bigs with great timing/touch/accuracy, fought over ball screens, held his ground defensively, and maintained active hands for disruptive steals/deflections/digs. A lot to like from an NBA standpoint as a 6’7”, 230 pound utility wing who makes winning plays on both ends without commanding much usage.

Virginia’s Ugonna Onyenso was a defensive game-wrecker off the bench in a win over NC State. The Nigerian big man leveraged his tools (7’5” wingspan, 9’5 ½" reach), timing, instincts, and motor to reject 8 shots and alter several more. Re-emerging on NBA radars with a strong senior season in a winning context.

Elite shooting display from Providence’s Stefan Vaaks in a Big East Tournament win over Butler. The 6’7” Estonian freshman drilled 8 threes en route to a game-high 28 points. Dynamic sniper with NBA range both pulling up out of ball screens and as a spot-up catch-and-shooter.

Cam Boozer put an exclamation point on one of the best individual regular seasons in NCAA history, avenging last month’s rivalry loss to UNC. 26 PTS, 15 REB, 5 AST in a Duke win. Fingerprints all over the game on both ends, per usual, with his rare combo of skill, strength, processing, vision, unselfishness, footwork, patience, effort, and adaptability. Unparalleled track record of consistent production in a way that drives winning at the highest levels for years now. Commonly presented as a third wheel in the number one overall pick conversation, but going to be hard to pass on for whichever team wins the lottery. Ranks as my personal top prospect in the 2026 NBA Draft.
