BREAKING: Feeding Our Future mastermind Aimee Bock sentenced to 500 months in prison, just over 41 years.
“Disabling Aimee Bock from ever meaningfully participating in society again is the only just outcome. The state of Minnesota will never be the same because of Aimee Bock," Assistant U.S. Attorney Rebecca Kline says in court.
Bock also ordered to pay $242 million in restitution.

We posted earlier this month that Ayodele Famodu had been quietly removed from the list of MPD leadership on the City of Minneapolis website.
Welp..... she's baaaack. Website last updated on May 12 has Famodu back on the list as Bureau Chief of Internal Affairs, a civilian position she was hired for one year ago.
Info from sources:
Back in January Famodu had reportedly been "escorted" from her office following complaints of creating a hostile work environment and the flurry of personnel memos she'd sent out addressing police officer breaks, time off, and OT, etc. The police federation even filed a complaint, see 1/, above. She was removed from the city's website days after our January post.
NEW info from multiple sources:
--Claim that Famodu has spent some portion of the last months on paid FMLA leave.
--Claim Famodu threatened to sue the department if she wasn't reinstated to her position.
--Claims she was given a new title as a "special assistant" to the chief but retained the same IA salary.
At this point it's unclear if she's still in the position of Bureau Chief of Internal Affairs - we're filing requests for info.
Just like the last time we requested info on Famodu, we will likely receive little useful info from the city.

1/ NEW only on Crime Watch: MPD Chief O'Hara's handpicked head of Internal Affairs Ayodele Famodu (from oUt oF tOwN) was reportedly "removed from the line of command" and her presence in IA with MPD.
Sources indicate that, among other concerns, there have been issues between Famodu and Asst Chief Katie Blackwell. The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis has also lodged a complaint alleging she's causing a "hostile work environment, violations of the labor agreement, and abusive and retaliatory management practices."
Allegations described by POFM include publicly criticizing and humiliating employees, being sarcastic and condescending, expressing ridicule, and creating an atmosphere of fear.
The POFM email obtained exclusively by Crime Watch is requesting a prompt and thorough investigation into the allegations.

Just two days before the end of session, Republican and Democrat members of the Minnesota House read a resolution that affirmed the House's "strong support for Minnesota's Somali American community."
Among other things, the resolution recognized "their many contributions to the cultural, social, civic, and economic health of our state."
The overwhelming majority of those charged and convicted in Minnesota's ongoing fraud saga are from the Somali community.

92/ Three people are dead because Mary Moriarty refused to adequately prosecute a viable gun crime against Eddie Duncan in Jan. 2025, after he was arrested selling crack cocaine while in possession of a firearm at 19th and Nicollet Ave. MN statute calls for a mandatory minimum of 3 years in prison, even on a first offense. Instead, she tossed him a plea deal agreeing to dismiss the most serious drug sales charge, and offered a stay-of-adjudication, meaning no prison - and the crime is not publicly visible on his record. Duncan was instead sentenced to 48 hours of community service, minus the two days he already spent in jail, so ZERO consequences. One year later, when Duncan rightfully should have been in prison on the drug/gun case, Duncan shot and killed his two cousins in north Minneapolis, and then Duncan was subsequently shot and killed by police. All because Mary Moriarty won't do her job.

For the third consecutive day, a group known locally as the “Sling Arm Bandits” has been terrorizing Northeast Minneapolis through a pattern of auto thefts and extremely reckless driving.
The group typically begins activities mid-morning, crossing the Lowry Bridge into NE Minneapolis and picking up additional members in NE, before starting their operations. They drive stolen vehicles with complete disregard for public safety—traveling at high speeds, running red lights and stop signs, and swerving into oncoming traffic lanes to bypass slowed or stopped vehicles.
A consistent trademark of the group is backing in their stolen vehicles in the same parking lot at the same parking space after each spree, a pattern that has become well-known to both the community and law enforcement. A member of the group is identifiable by a sling worn on his left arm.
Friday: The group is back out today, they arrived to NE Minneapolis in a stolen White Kia Sedan with out of state plates, possibly Iowa plates.
