Six years ago this week, following a series of medical failures, I received the devastating news of my cancer diagnosis via email. Determined to turn adversity into purpose, I pledged that if I survived I would dedicate myself to enhancing healthcare delivery for fellow patients.

Last year I announced that I'd won a $750K health equity innovation grant but didn't say what it was for. I developed a radically innovative solution to reduce healthcare bias and improve patient outcomes. I am piloting it at Emory Winship Cancer Center this year! 🎉🎉

It started as a dream during cancer: apply my innovation expertise to improve cancer care for underserved patients. This week, I'll be leading a trailblazing workshop with oncologists to unlock unseen barriers and spark novel approaches to propel equitable care!!!
