It’s fine to like Andor. Despite its issues, I’m a fan of it too. Tony (for the most part) is a good writer
But he doesn’t have the passion that Dave does. Even though some people really want him to love Star Wars, he just doesn’t.
Imo passion with a few mistakes is better…

Gilroy arrived a novice, did his research to make a compelling story, and made a good story. Because he's a good director.
You can teach a man the lore, it's harder to teach a fan how to create.

He did his research though. He was aware of a lot of deep lore, not just how Mon Mothma was extracted in Rebels but major events leading up to ANH. He incorporated the Ghorman massacre (the first one) from old West End Games RPGs from 1988’s Rebel source book, and adapted the hierarchy of the ISB and imperial government from the Imperial sourcebook of the same year.
References to the Rakata Infinite empire from Knights of the Old Republic was thrown into Luthen’s dialogue.
The big question is, how did Gilroy adhere to the lore better than the so called experts on the other productions?

@TomCottonFan01 @AledMitch @JennyC97x I mean they're good and def better than some arcs in Andor, but remember the conversation is talking about watching ALL of the clone wars, and i can't really say clone wars is peak if you have to sit thru the Jar Jar girlfriend arc or the Droid squad arc

Disney need to mandate that, in order to work on a Star Wars project (whether it be a movie or show) you need to have watched all movies, and all of the Clone Wars and Rebels as a bare minimum.
