🏏Cricket governing body issues worldwide BAN on transgender males competing in international Women’s Cricket competitions. The ICC has banned all biological men from competing in the female category regardless of any gender reassignment surgeries, hormones or puberty suppressants they have undergone as part of their transition. The sporting bodies decision comes after a 9 month consultation process which found an urgent need to protect the safety of female players. In a statement announcing the decision the ICC said: “The new policy is based on the following principles (in order of priority), protection of the integrity of the women’s game, safety, fairness and inclusion, and this means any Male to Female participants who have been through any form of male puberty will not be eligible to participate in the international women’s game regardless of any surgery or gender reassignment treatment they may have undertaken.” Source: Daily Mail
