Read Fanny Hill. The one-room, agricultural lifestyle that dominated the West for millennia produced people with a rather earthy, matter-of-fact outlook on sex. Statistical analysis of parish registers in 18th-century England and Colonial America shows that a significant percentage (often 20% to 40%) of brides were pregnant on their wedding day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

i think more redemption arcs should present a true challenge as in "what if your loved ones don't forgive you, would you still want to change?", i feel so much male character redemption is carried not by their actions but by women priorizing love over themselves.
