Hmmm how do I explain this cos it’s hard to explain things on twitter…. Netflix has to accept first before you proceed for originals. Also we aren’t really a reading nation. We can’t even agree on what our classics are… (the fact that we read them in primary school doesn’t really count). Hollywood adapts novels released within the last 5yrs cos there’s still a culture there. And our big classics that might interest producers all have foreign publishers which makes it harder. Most times, we can’t even reach their estate or know who to talk to. Lastly…only Nigerians and a few other black people watch nollywood.. our films haven’t really crossed race borders enough that the streamers would take big bets on getting rights for major classics.

If you’re a filmmaker with the gear and means to make stuff, I’m trying to write stuff. Put me on. Honestly I want to direct more shorts but if you can’t help with that I’d love to collaborate on your projects.

One of the scariest things I remember while growing up was the Ikeja Cantonment Bombing of January 27, 2007. It happened in Ikeja and we felt the impact in faraway Agbado-Ijaye. What stood scariest was a father who carried his deceased child on his shoulder. Gracious God!

@renoomokri Reno, this is not preached enough. The peace of mind you enjoy in your current state should be better appreciated. Not everyone flaunting wealth on SM is actually wealthy or have what you enjoy in reality. Build yourself, don't follow a false image.

The life people project on social media is often a front. They are not as wealthy, happy or carefree as they parade. And if you allow yourself to become dissatisfied with your life because of them, you are actually letting yourself be scammed. Deliver yourself from Instagram envy by following only people who live realistic lives and have value to add to your life by motivating and educating you. A single girl buying exotic cars with no tangible source of income is not a good role model. One, she is not happy. And two, without doing horrific things in private, she cannot afford the unsustainable lifestyle she flaunts at you. #RenosNuggets
