Honestly, the wording only makes it sound like AI was used for things like translation groundwork and coding assistance. I think people might be overreacting a bit. That said, I was curious about it too, so I just sent an inquiry through the Japanese website to ask for clarification. There’s a chance they won’t respond, so it’s basically a gamble at this point lol.

How many times do we need to explain that it doesn't matter if it's placeholders or whatever? If it's generative, it's harmful. Gen AI is theft. It's polluting and it's making it so electronic hardware is unaffordable. If you care about even one of those things, don't defend AI

People are definitely gonna take the crazy taxi ai thing and run with it lol. Expect alot of fighting the next few days. Sales wise tho I don't think this is enough to harm it yet. We'll see tho.

@jingercookiee It's funny you mention level 5... I was so sad that AI was used in the newest game I didn't pick it up. Same with the new Yo- kai watch esque game they are making.

I completely understand the abject to generating assets and their presence within game, but you can't control or measure the use of AI for concept

So, it means you could be playing a game that has no trace of AI within the product, but the idea came from one. Eg:

@Dooms_Eye @crazytaxi Please read the last sentence. Using AI at the game prototyping stage is a surprisingly good idea. Instead of waiting for textures from artists, developers can start showing their vision. Later they will be replaced with normal textures drawn by artists.
