In 2025, we saw 795 new affordable homes built in Manchester, 60% for social rent. 1,000s more are on site too. Despite opposition from Greens and Lib Dems to new social housing in Manchester, it is @McrLabour building the homes that Mancunians need.🏡🌹

We've been able to see investment in Old Moat Park over the last year, new and additional bins across the ward, new trees, as well as keeping Tony, our dedicated daily litter picker in Withington Village. We will also see new pedestrian crossings by Old Moat Park later in 2026.🌳

Thanks to a great settlement from the Labour Govt, for the first time in 14 years Manchester City Council have a budget surplus.We've made a video about the work we’ve done over the last few years, and what we can do with this extra money. This only happens with @ChorltonLabour

From today, the two child limit is lifted. That means 450,000 children will no longer grow up in poverty.
