C/1B Nate Baez is the newest Red Sox addition. The 24yo has a good track record of production in the minors, showcasing a career 12% BB rate and 125 wRC+ since he made his pro debut in '22. Last year, Baez slashed .278/.371/.423 with a .373 wOBA and 124 wRC+ between High-A and Double-A in '25. The K% has been a major flaw throughout his career (career clip of 29% entering last year), but he was able to shrink that number down to 16% last season, fueled by a SwStr% that was nearly cut in half. Baez notably loves to pull the ball — he registered a whopping 47% pull rate in '25. This is an increase from the 32% clip we saw in '24. Baez also features good QoC when he's able to put bat on ball. This is a really solid depth piece for Worcester next season, and if the Sox can unlock more with Baez in the contact department, perhaps they can squeeze a little bit more out of him.
