Honestly, it’s a bit more a bad one from Vingegaard, he should have done better in the time trial; if Arensman managed to beat all the time trialists apart from Filippo Ganna, Vingegaard despite it being a flat time trial should have done better and at least minimum finished in the top 10. We’ve seen great time trials from Vingegaard before, so he had a duty to do more and do better. Besides, the supposed good form he’s shown should have boosted his performance here, just as it boosted Arensman’s. But that doesn’t take anything away from Afonso Eulálio will he be able to hold onto his 27-second lead until Saturday? It’s difficult, but why not? Although stages 11 and 13 could be dangerous, the climbs are shorter, which favours Afonso. But they’re tough, and with just a 27-second lead, all it takes is a few strong moves for the advantage to be lost. #Giro #GirodItalia
